This asphalt work removes the top layer of asphalt that may include damage. This includes cracks, holes, or any other issue that makes the process problematic. The top layer is removed to ensure that the new asphalt will stick correctly. Our techs use a milling machine to grind it down depending on the wear. This will usually be between one inch and three inches.
This asphalt work is the paving method of applying a new layer of asphalt onto a deteriorating surface. This is easier than tearing up the asphalt completely and patching all of it again.
Once the existing surface is prepared, we can begin to patch the hole. We will pour in the hot mix and then smooth it over. Finally, we will pack it in to ensure that it sticks and mixes thoroughly with the existing asphalt.
Seal coating is the best form for preventative maintenance on your parking lot or driveway. The seal coating process involves applying a cold tar emulsion over your asphalt parking lot or driveway to make a barrier. Asphalt work of this nature is very fragile, so we recommend not driving on it and ensuring that it is unbothered for a while. Many different factors affect how long you will need to let it dry.
